The Red Bull KTM rider found himself locked in a battle during both motos as he fought through the field and into podium territory. Vialle got close to Jo Shimoda in race one and later gained an advantage in race two when RJ Hampshire made a crash-landing right in front of him. He continued to close the gap to Deegan but came away with 3-2 results, his best of the Playoffs. Second question why he's sporting the most coveted number in rac- ing. Despite the hard-packed conditions, Deegan opted for the scoop tire to give him an advantage on the ultra-short start straight. The gamble paid off both times, and Deegan went virtually untouched in both 250 motos. With four moto wins to his credit, he's 19 points clear of second as the series heads to the Vegas finale. "I think today was the most consistent day I've had all sea- son," Deegan said. "1-1 in quali- fying, then two perfect starts. That was my goal.
