Tom Vialle reminded the
Texas fans why he's the de-
fending East Coast Supercross
champ and came away second
on the day. The Red Bull KTM
rider found himself locked in
a battle during both motos as
he fought through the field and
into podium territory. Vialle got
close to Jo Shimoda in race one
and later gained an advantage
in race two when RJ Hampshire
made a crash-landing right in
front of him. He continued to
close the gap to Deegan but
came away with 3-2 results, his
best of the Playoffs. Second
question why he's sporting the
most coveted number in rac-
ing. Despite the hard-packed
conditions, Deegan opted for
the scoop tire to give him an
advantage on the ultra-short
start straight. The gamble paid
off both times, and Deegan went
virtually untouched in both 250
motos. With four moto wins to
his credit, he's 19 points clear of
second as the series heads to
the Vegas finale.
"I think today was the most
consistent day I've had all sea-
son," Deegan said. "1-1 in quali-
fying, then two perfect starts.
That was my goal. Everyone's
riding pretty good, so the goal is
to execute my starts again and
pair of sixths. Aaron Plessinger
is fighting a sore shoulder but
toughed out a seventh with 9-7
finishes, just ahead of Jason An-
derson, who returned to SMX in
eighth. Dylan Ferrandis and Colt
Nichols rounded out the top 10.
With one round to go, Hunter
Lawrence leads Sexton by one
point, with Jett Lawrence in
third another eight points back
from Sexton. Tomac is a distant
fourth, just seven points ahead
of Plessinger.

Haiden Deegan is four-for-four
