We reviewed the 1995 Honda CR125R and Yamaha YZ125
motocrossers... We also had a preview of the upcoming ISDE
in Tulsa, Oklahoma... Doug Henry wrapped up the AMA 125cc
Motocross title at the final round at Steel City in Delmont,
Pennsylvania. Mike LaRocco had already locked up the 250cc title...
Scott Parker won the Springfield Mile... Scott Russell won both
legs of the World Superbike Championship rounds at Sugo, Japan.
We packed the cover with winners from over the Labor Day
Weekend 20 years ago. Winners included Mat Mladin, Chris
Vermeulen, James Toseland, Chris Carr, J.R. Schnabel,
James Stewart, Valentino Rossi, and Tony Rickardsson.
Ricky Carmichael clinched his fifth AMA 250cc MX title...
We reported that the AMA would not send a team to the
Motocross of Nations in Holland, citing funding and rider
contract issues.
