SUPERSPORT The title race for the 2024 MotoAmerica Supersport title is well and truly on, as PJ Jacob- sen and Mathew Scholtz (Strack Racing Yamaha) shared the wins at Mid-Ohio, South African Scholtz leaving track happiest after ending Jacobsen's run of three straight wins in race two. Rahal Ducati Moto's Jacobsen took the opening win in race one that was run after 6 p.m. local time due to a brief but intense rainstorm that drenched the track, making tire choice vital. At the restart, it wasn't Ja - cobsen but Ohio veteran Larry Pegram (TopPro Racing Suzuki), who gambled on rain tires, hit - ting the front early and looking good for a hugely popular win until Jacobsen and Scholtz Cain and Emma Betters, with Varey taking her second top five of the weekend in fifth. "The Royal Enfield 650 GT to- day went on rails," Moore said. "I knew yesterday the race started off pretty close. I knew as long as I did what I did yesterday and put my head down and focus and hit my marks I could get to where I am at now, which is the number-one spot, just by hard work throughout the season. Thanks to my dad, my family, just for all the support, even the Royal Enfield team's support. It means a lot. To do this two years in a row, I'm super happy with how my season went." In the points, Moore is crowned champion on 175 to Camille Conrad's 104 and Knebel's 102. ROYAL ENFIELD BUILD. TRAIN. RACE Mikayla Moore is a two-time Royal Enfield Build. Train. Race Champion after once again deci- mating the competition in Mid- Ohio, taking the first race win by 14 seconds and increasing that advantage to 20 seconds in the second outing. Moore's last run in the cham - pionship before stepping up in 2025 was a race for second with Kira Knebel getting the better of a three-bike battle with Holly Varey and Aubrey Credaroli at the flag in race one, second to seventh covered by a mere three seconds. In race two, Moore once again did her disappearing act, with Knebel backing up for second place, this time from Miranda ROUND 7 / AUGUST 16-18, 2024 MID-OHIO SPORTS CAR COURSE / LEXINGTON, OHIO ROAD RACE I MOTOAMERICA AMA/FIM NORTH AMERICAN ROAD RACING CHAMPIONSHIP P84 Mikayla Moore (1) once again made the Royal Enfield race weekend her own.
