It would've taken me 10 laps to
get by those guys [Cooper and
Lawrence]. It was nice to just
zap them right there. It was nice
to get up front and lead laps and
find my groove a little bit."
Hunter Lawrence finished just
off the podium in both motos,
something that hasn't happened
to him all year, and it resulted in
fourth overall. The Honda rider
had a chance to capitalize on
Sexton's bad start in moto one
overall. The Monster Energy
Kawasaki rider seemed to be on
another level in race two as he
executed an aggressive double
pass on the opening lap to
secure the top spot. From there,
it was game on as Anderson
checked out with the early lead
and stayed there for just over
half the race. He eventually fell
victim to Sexton but stayed in
the hunt ahead of third place.
Second in the moto was Ander

son's best of the year and put
him third on
the day.
"I've been just outside the
podium," Anderson said. "I've
gone 5-3, 4-4, just one point out

side the podium. I honestly just
haven't
had it through the whole
moto to stay with these guys.
of the race before Sexton start-
ed to close in on him. Plessinger
made
it easy on Sexton when
he momentarily stalled his bike
with three laps to go. Sexton
was close enough to slip on by
and ride off with the win.
A third in moto two saw
Plessinger on the podium again
and earning second overall for
the day.
"I was scared of him [Sexton]
catching me, I told myself I had
to be perfect," Plessinger said.
"That lap, I didn't have any mis

takes. I just cruised, and I was
breathing good. All
the other
laps, I was thinking behind me,
and I'd make mistakes."
