Scholtz's win came ahead

The result sees Scholtz now
over a full race win clear in the
points on 219 to Jacobsen's
191. Jake Lewis (Altus Motors

ports Suzuki), who took a fourth
and
10th place finish at The
Ridge, is third on 104.

disappointed that someone
would make that move."
Naturally, Scholtz saw it dif-
ferently.
"I
thought that I made the
move pretty clean past him
and ran slightly wider than you
would usually do," Scholtz said.
But I feel that he just tipped in
and knew that I was there and
carried on turning and hit the
side of my footpeg. I felt him
there, but I carried on turning
and I looked back and I saw
that he had crashed. Obviously,
that's not something I want,
but I feel that I got to the point
of making the pass fair and he
should have given me room."
11 with one and a half laps to go.
The Yamaha got alongside
the Ducati, was slightly ahead
at the apex, but Jacobsen
turned back in for his usual line
and clattered into the side of
Scholtz. The resulting impact
saw Jacobsen hit the deck and
Scholtz rode off to a 5.5-second
victory and a 28-point champi
-
onship lead.
"On
the left-hander, I went
even tighter than my normal
line and there was no way there
was any way to pass me there,"
Jacobsen said. "Scholtz went
up the inside of me and took
my shoulder and my bar right
out from me. Unfortunately,
I couldn't do anything at that
point. I'd consider myself a
pretty clean rider, and to take
