C
oming into this year's Mi-
chael's Reno Powersports
Hangtown Motocross Classic,
Honda HRC's Jett Lawrence had
swept every Pro Motocross race
since his 450MX debut last year at
the season opener in Pala. If you're
counting, that's 12 overall victories
and 24 straight moto wins. But it
all came to a crashing end when
Lawrence went down spectacularly
while leading the start of the first
moto. Everyone was wondering who
was going to end Lawrence's streak,
and it turned out to be Lawrence—
not his brother, Hunter, but himself.
Jett went down hard on his own
when he made a questionable deci
-
sion to attempt a triple jump on a
risky section of the track. Lawrence
slowly shook off the crash but
wasn't the same rider for the rest of
the day, going 24-6 for 12th overall.
