FUTURES FINAL
A fourth title was on the line at
Salt Lake City. The top amateur
Supercross racers had a score
to settle at the series finale and
it was Cole Davies who won the
2024 Supercross Futures Nation-
al Championship. The Anaheim
2 winner started off in second but
overtook the top spot when early
leader Drew Adams fell. Davies
made things look easy as he led
the final five laps on the dry and
dusty track. Adams set the fast-
est lap of the race before finish-
ing second ahead of Gavin Tow-
ers. "It's definitely cool to win this
race," Davies said. "The track is
gnarly at the moment. I was able
to get a pretty good start. I made
some mistakes at the start there,
but Drew made a mistake, and
I was able to capitalize on that,
and yeah, I'm stoked."
RETIREES
For three names on the week-
end's entry list, Salt Lake
City served as their final AMA
Supercross. Adam Cianciarulo,
Dean Wilson and Phil Nicoletti
all announced that SLC would
be their final round. Nicoletti and
Wilson both finished 10th in their
respective main events, with
Cianciarulo taking 20th.
