Sexton said. "I felt a lot more
like myself in the last three
races, because it's been a long
year, but I've learned a lot and
the team stuck by me, so I'm
looking forward to the outdoors
and building off this. This is a
good momentum builder and
what I needed going into the Pro
Motocross series."
Justin Cooper landed on the
box in second for his first career
450SX podium. The Monster
Energy Star Racing Yamaha
rider is another rookie in the
450SX class and he's been
improving steadily since round
one. He started up front with
Sexton and the two went at it
on the opening lap before set

tling into a strong pace. Cooper
stayed ahead of his
teammate
Cooper Webb for the entirety of
the 450SX main and logged his
career-best finish with second
place.
"I saved the best for last, I
guess," Cooper said. "I've really
plate, Sexton grabbed the hole

shot before leading every lap of
the 450SX
main event. He made
sure to leave his stamp on the
season and ended on a high
note, breaking his points tie with
the recently injured Eli Tomac.
This also marks Sexton's sec

conditions. He finished third
in the championship standings.
