Ferry's New Team E van Ferry, who recently departed the Fac- tory Triumph Team, has evidently secured a new home with Wildcat Racing riding a 250cc GasGas. The team issued a statement: "We are excit- ed to announce our new addition for this MX season, Evan Ferry, who will make his debut for Pro Motocross. Coming from a successful amateur career, with multiple national titles and wins in Supercross Futures, we are happy to be by his side to make this step forward for his career. Really waiting for a great season!" The Wildcat Racing Team is a small outfit formed by rider/owner Lorenzo Locurcio. Jose Butron, who rode a 450 on last year's team, is not returning. The team is expected to announce a replacement for Butron. CN VOLUME ISSUE MAY , P33 Evan Ferry will ride a 250cc GasGas outdoors as a member of the Wildcat Racing Team. SX Global Signs Agreement With FIM T he FIM announced that SX Global (SXG) will continue to promote the FIM World Supercross Championship (WSX) through 2033. The partnership includes the option of an additional decade. After being awarded an initial 10-year deal in 2021, SX Global underwent a change of ownership in 2023, with the arrival of Kyril Louis-Dreyfus and Juan Sartori. A release from the FIM said that start - ing in 2024, the FIM WSX will enter "new territories, breaking ground in the sport across multiple continents. Events will feature star-studded rider rosters, including the return of two- time champion Ken Roczen as he looks to defend his FIM WSX title." FIM President Jorge Viegas, said, "The FIM believes that SX Global has the expertise and know-how to deliver a first-class World Su - percross Championship long into the future. Their vision is highly impressive, and the long-term suc- cess of this series is in safe hands." SX Global co-owner Louis-Dreyfus added, "We look forward to continuing to expand and promote the FIM WSX as we seek innovative and exciting ways to bring the sport to the loyal existing fanbase while welcoming new audi - ences from across the globe." SX Global will officially unveil plans for the upcoming 2024 FIM World Supercross Champion - ship in the coming weeks. CN The FIM says it has reached a new agreement with SX Global that will keep the fledgling World Supercross Championship around for at least 10 more years.
