the finish. This marks his sixth
win of the year as Lawrence
reclaims sole possession of the
red plate by five points with just
three races left.
"The first few laps are always
pretty hectic," Lawrence said.
"We had a few little hectic mo

ments in a couple of laps, but
we were able to get in a rhythm.
Last week with me starting
14th or 15th doesn't really help
when the guy you're compet-

5TH 250SX EAST-WEST
Jalek Swoll enjoyed his best finish
of the year and for the new Triumph
Racing Team. "I made a decent start
but definitely lacked some intensity
in the opening laps," he said. "I was
a little tense at the end, which cost
us fourth. These East/West events
are gnarly, and only one East guy fin-
ished in front of me, so we're second

9 ADAM CIANCIARULO
14TH 450SX
Adam Cianciarulo came close to win-
ning his heat race and finished 14th
in the main event. "It was decent, and
I was able to qualify 12th overall,"
Cianciarulo said. "In my heat race, I
was able to lead some laps and fight
for the win. That was an awesome
feeling, especially since I am still
recovering from my ankle injury. In
the main, I got a mediocre start and
began fighting through the pack, but
fatigue late in the race crept in and I
finished 14th."
