We were excited about our next-day coverage of the Australian Grand
Prix that John Kocinski won. However, Luca Cadalora was pictured
on the cover... Troy Corser won his first career AMA Superbike
National at Phoenix International Raceway... Mike LaRocco topped
the Charlotte Supercross at Memorial Stadium... JeΠWilloh and
Kevin Windham were the big winners at the GNC International
Motocross Finals at Lake
Whitney... Donny Schmit was
the winner of the opening
round of the 250ccc MXGP
Series in Spain.
Test bikes, GNCC and drag racing were featured on the cover of CN
20 years ago. We tested the Triumph Thruxton 900 and Rodney
Smith won the Steel Creek GNCC. The Vance & Hines Harley
team won the NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle round at Gainesville.
It was Harley's first ever NHRA Pro Stock victory... We had
coverage of the Phillip Island round of the World Superbike
Championship... We also had coverage of the Spanish Motocross
GP that Stefan Everts won... Russ Pearson topped the Murphy,
Idaho, round of the AMA Hare & Hound National Championship.
