years ago. Jeremy McGrath was the winner. Je‹ Emig was second
and Mike LaRocco third... Fred Andrews won the GNCC round in
Sumter, South Carolina... We previewed the upcoming Road Race
and Motocross World Championships... We interviewed Miguel
DuHamel... Greg Zitterkopf won the Vacation Village Hare & Hound
in Nevada, making it two wins in
a row for him in the BITD Silver
State Series...
Our middleweight sportbike shootout was featured in Cycle
News 20 years ago. We took five bikes to the Streets of Willow
and eventually declared a winner—the Suzuki GSX-R600... Local
favorite Mike LaRocco proved that he still had what it took to win
at the Indy Supercross. Yamaha-mounted Josh Hansen broke
through for his first career Supercross win in the 125cc East main
event... Nathan Woods extended his points lead in the WORCS
Championship by winning the Lake Havasu round... David Lykke
won the Cherokee National Enduro.
