Johnson Wins AMA East Hare Scrambles Opener T he opening round of the 2024 AMA East Hare Scrambles Championship took place in Union, South Carolina, February 24-25. The Mid-East Hare Scrambles saw perfect weather conditions that helped attract a large turnout for the race. A mix of Pro and AA riders battled for a position within the top 10. Honda rider Brody Johnson emerged with the Pro-class win. He jumped out to an early lead and quickly established a 40-second lead that he managed well to the checkered flag. Tyler Palmer was next in line as he successfully held off KTM rider Levi Elliot throughout the race, making it Johnson, Palmer and El - liot who filled out the podium. WIND IN THE P44 KTM rider Hunter Bush and Yamaha pilot James Jenkins rounded out the top five overall. Former champ Kyle McDonal (Beta), Kenito Held (Suzuki), Caleb Lane, (KTM), Anderson Pruett (Husqvarna) and Rivers Morris (KTM) completed the top 10 overall.
