A feature race coverage 50 years ago this week was round two of the
Florida Winter-AMA MX Series that took place at Hialeah Raceway.
Tony DiStefano beat all the big guns on his private CZ... We had full
coverage of the 4th Annual Soboba Grand Prix. Jim Fishback held
o‚ Malcolm Smith to win... More than a thousand dollars were on
the line for the CMC Motocross race at Saddleback Park, where Rex
Staten came away with the big bucks... We also had coverage of the
SRA-hosted Calico Ghost Run Enduro.

LOOKING BACK I
Je Ward, Johnny O'Mara and Goat Breker were the stars of the
CMC Golden State National MX Series round at Sunrise Valley Cycle
Park in Adelanto, California. They were the Pro-class winners, while
Eddie Hicks continued to dominate the 85cc class, which included
Mike Healey, Mike Kiedrowski, Ty Davis and Tallon Vohland... Karl
Jordan, John Reinhold, and Mark Murphy won in the east at the
West Palm Beach, Florida Winter AMA MX Series... We had coverage
of the CMC/Labatt's Invitational Supercross Series in Edmonton,
Canada, where Donnie Cantaloupi took the win...
