Breece Sweeps Reno
Arenacross Doubleheader
R
ounds nine and 10 of the
AMA Arenacross Champion-
ship took to the Reno-Sparks
Livestock Events Center in Reno,
Nevada, February 9-10, for a
doubleheader weekend. The se-
ries points are closer than ever,
with just four rounds remaining.
Kyle Peters is looking to claim
his fifth Arenacross title, while
challenger Ryan Breece wants to
upset the current guard. Breece
did just that as he swept both
nights of racing and closed
within single digits of the cham
-
pionship points lead.
Friday night proved to be a
perfect night for Breece as he
topped the charts in qualifying
before winning his heat race.
The longer track layout suited
his style as he shot out to the
early lead in race one and led
every lap of the first main event.
Even when the running order
flipped for main two, Breece
made quick work of the slower
riders and found his way to
the lead by lap two. Two wins
earned him maximum points for
the first night of racing.
Peters' night didn't go the way
he wanted, with his main rival
Breece taking both the wins. In
