"I was pretty frustrated after those first two," Tomac
said. "I was thinking, 'What am I just a fifth- through
seventh-place guy now?' I just had to do something, I
had to get off the gate there. It was good. I had a good
flow and was able to get the whoop combo down,
which I felt was important."

dium in third place after logging 6-4-3 scores. The Red
Bull KTM rider is still riding a high after last week's win
and rode like he belonged at the front. The red-plate
holder found himself locked in a battle for much of the
night and he held off Jett Lawrence for the majority of
the second main event. Plessinger's third place in race
three helped his cause, as did Jason Anderson's pen

alty, which moved the number-seven up into an overall
podium. A third place at Anaheim 2 sees Plessinger
keep the red plate for another week.
"I think this race was really important to just stay
consistent and not let things get to my head," Plessing

FUTURES PUT
ON A SHOW
Anaheim 2 marked round one
for the Supercross Futures. New
Zealand's Cole Davies and Star
Racing Yamaha's Gavin Towers
put on a show as the two battled
for the top spot throughout their
entire main event. In the end,
Davies got the upper hand and
took the win ahead of Towers,
who finished a close second.
SLR Honda's Parker Ross took
third. "It was an awesome battle,"
Davies said. "We were just going
back and forth. And it was super
tiring; I was breathing so hard,
and you're just glad to be on
top. I couldn't even feel myself. I
was like so frickin—I was like in a
dream, it felt like." Towers said,
"I wanted that win, so I'm a bit
disappointed."
CIANCIARULO OUT
Adam Cianciarulo rode the first
qualifier but did not line up for the
main events. The Kawasaki rider
suffered a hand injury at round
one, which he's been dealing with
since. "Anaheim 1, basically got
run into by another rider in the last
turn," Cianciarulo said via social
media. "Did some damage to my
finger and top of my hand area,
and it's been bothering me ever
since. I got out there today, and
it just wasn't happening for me. I
didn't feel safe out there. I don't
want to do something silly when
I'm not capable of going that fast
anyway."
