At Mesquite

MC WORCS Championship
hosted round eight at Mesquite
MX in Mesquite, Nevada, Octo
-
ber 7-8. The track featured some
new sections, and Cole Martinez,
back from injury, took the Pro
450-class win while Jack Simp-
son grabbed the Pro 250-class
victory.
Temperatures were in the mid-
90s by the time the Pro classes
got started. Precision Concepts
Tyler Lynn took the holeshot,
while SLR Honda's Cole Marti-
nez, Purvines Racing's Justin
Hoeft, and KTM's Mateo Oliviera
followed while battling for posi-
tion.
Martinez eventually settled
into second before a big get-
off in the sand dropped him to
third behind leader Lynn and
second place Hoeft. Unfazed
by the crash, Martinez got back
around Hoeft and eventually
Lynn, who later admitted that
while his pace was up to speed,
his stamina was not and backed
it down a notch because of the
heat. Both Martinez and points
leader Hoeft got around him
