At this point, the 250MX
Championship is Hunter Law-
rence's to lose. The points
leader came into
the penul-
timate round with a 22-point
advantage
and heads to the
final round with the same. The
first moto, which turned out to
be a 15-minute sprint for the
win, saw a tug-of-war between
Lawrence and title rival Justin
Cooper. Lawrence, on the HRC
Honda, seemed to throw every

thing at him but knew that the
second
moto was the critical
one. The number-96 executed
a dominant holeshot and led all
17 laps to take the win and the
overall victory, solidifying his
hold on the championship with
only one round remaining.
Cooper, on the Monster Energy
Star Racing Yamaha, claimed
second overall with 1-2 scores
on the day. He set the fastest
