VOLUME ISSUE JULY , P77 BY CHRIS MARTIN PHOTOGRAPHY BY TIM LESTER P rior to the Bridgeport Half- Mile, Bridgeport Speedway had not only never hosted a Grand National Championship round, it had never played witness to a motorcycle race, full stop. Progressive AFT rectified that unfortunate situation by deliver - ing one of the most entertaining Mission SuperTwins main events in recent memory—and perhaps one of the most important. It's easy to look at the early ca - reer of Estenson Racing Yamaha's Dallas Daniels and consider his a charmed existence. In succes - sion seasons, he's gone from the first-ever dual Nicky Hayden AMA Horizon Award winner (2018) to rookie Progressive AFT and MotoAmerica support class race winner (2019), to Parts Unlimited AFT Singles Champion (2020), to repeat Parts Unlimited AFT Singles Champion (2021) to Mission SuperTwins rookie phenom and premier-class race winner (2022). That non-stop rise continued in 2023, where Daniels is now attempting to secure a maiden Grand National Championship by assembling one of the most impressive podium streaks the series has ever seen. Dallas Daniels moves back into the SuperTwins points lead with a big win at the Bridgeport Half-Mile.
