Febvre, Geerts School 'em In The Sand T he endlessly deep sands of Lommel served as round 13 of the FIM Motocross World Championship, July 22-23. Ro- main Febvre claimed his fourth consecutive overall win in the MXGP division, while Jago Geerts swept the MX2 class. MXGP Jeremy Seewer kicked things off with the holeshot in race one, sprinting ahead of his Yamaha-mounted teammate and sand specialist Glenn Coldenhoff. Febvre started third but moved his way into the lead after a mistake from Colden - hoff. From there it was smooth sailing for the Kawasaki rider, who continued his momentum into another race victory. The win allowed Febvre to cut the points gap to under 100 behind Prado. Coldenhoff held on for second while Prado made the move for third on the final lap. Race two looked similar with Seewer out front and Prado close behind. Race-one winner, Febvre, found himself buried in the pack outside the top 20. Prado made the most of his rival's misfortune and moved to the lead by the end of lap one. Febvre continued to charge for the entire moto and worked his way all the way up to second by the checkered flag. A 1-2 score - card gave Febvre the advantage in the overall rankings ahead of Prado and Coldenhoff. "It was again a great weekend, as I felt really good on the bike and the track since Saturday," Febvre said. "The new layout made it more technical, which helped to make the difference. The first race was good as I made a comfortable gap at the front to win the race.
