But during the last few races he's proven he can come from the back of the pack and have no problems moving to the front and pulling away. And at Unadilla, he was like a man among boys the way he moved from an eighth place start in moto one and turned that into an 18-second lead by the end of the race. "After Budds Creek we made a pretty big change on chassis and suspension and that was a big moment for me," said Tomac. But an eighth-place start is almost acceptable for me now. I don't like it but it's something I have to deal with now. But like that first lap in moto one, it was crazy for me, it was like mayhem. But once you get in the lead, you can ride P51 your own lines, and I basically try to sprint and get away from those guys as quickly as possible." His moto-two start wasn't much better, but he still made short work of Jeremy Martin and Justin Bogle to get to the rear wheel of Ken Roczen. The two title contenders battled for the next several laps before Tomac took the lead on lap 10 and pulled away for the win. "Luckily, there are a lot of lines to pass on out there and I was able to use that to my advantage moving through the pack," said Tomac.
