"The rain definitely played a
factor in a few of the sections
on that lap," admitted Smage.
"Some of the rocks got really
slick, which made it tough."
On the final lap, Smage
managed a one-point ride in
section 12, needing a single
prod to get over the log before cleaning the rest of the
section. In addition, a two in
the second section, a one in
the sixth section and then a
five on the massive wall in the
ninth section left Smage with a
score of nine for the lap and an
overall total of 33 for the day.
"Overall, I felt better today than I have all year," said

Smage. "I still had a few mistakes this weekend, but overall I was a lot more consistent
than I've been."
