Adam Cianciarulo was fifth.
"I can't say I'm super stoked on
my results, but I am happy with
the progress my team and I are
making," said Cianciarulo. "This
is always a brutal track, so I'm
glad that we were able to hold a

SEXTON'S SHOCKER
Team Honda HRC announced
earlier in the week that Chase
Sexton would be sitting out the
Hangtown Motocross Classic
after suffering a concussion in a
practice crash. "As you guys saw I
had a big one during qualifying at
Pala, then another one on Tues-
day this week that banged me up
pretty good," he said in a release.
"Nothing broken, just need a few
days to get back to 100%." A
report from the team added that
Sexton was also diagnosed with
mono, and the decision was made
to have him take time off to re-
cover. A return date has not been
announced, but Team Manager
Lars Lindstrom hinted at Sexton
being back for round three.
