Just two rounds into the Plessinger battle for most of the day, swapping scores with the other two riders, but getting the best of them in moto two with a second behind Lawrence A fourth and a second gave Webb the final spot on the podium, his first of the year. "That second moto was great for me," Webb said. "It was definitely a difficult track to pass on. It helped me though, to latch in and get to know the pace and really get my outdoor legs again. [I made] a SEXTON'S SHOCKER Team Honda HRC announced earlier in the week that Chase Sexton would be sitting out the Hangtown Motocross Classic after suffering a concussion in a practice crash. "As you guys saw I had a big one during qualifying at Pala, then another one on Tues- day this week that banged me up pretty good," he said in a release. "Nothing broken, just need a few days to get back to 100%." A report from the team added that Sexton was also diagnosed with mono, and the decision was made to have him take time off to re- cover. A return date has not been announced, but Team Manager Lars Lindstrom hinted at Sexton being back for round three. Briefly... Hunter Lawrence got better as the day wore on and claimed the 250MX overall.
