JD Beach (95) has made it seven TT wins in the last eight while closing in on the SuperTwins points lead. ROUND 4 / APRIL 1, 2023 WILD HORSE PASS MOTORSPORTS PARK / CHANDLER, ARIZONA FLAT TRACK I P84 3 BRIAR BAUMAN 3RD SUPERTWINS More accustomed to battling for wins and championships, Rick Ware Racing's Briar Bauman has been forced to move the goalposts as his team comes to grips with his Parts Plus/Jacob Companies KTM 890 Duke —a brutish machine with big potential but still in need of taming. Even so, he managed to come away with another po- dium despite the ongoing efforts in that regard. Bauman said, "It was a long day racing in the Arizona desert. It was a rollercoaster mentally. Thanks to Shayna and her mechanic Jake (Johnson) and my team, Rick Ware Rac- ing. The new bike is hard to ride, honestly, so it took me a little bit to figure it out. We made a pretty big change heading into the main, which helped tremendously. I don't know if I was going to get Jared (Mees), but he made a mistake so I got him. My whole day was about progress and getting through the mental obstacles, so making that progress was big. Ideally, if we can get a few more things sorted out with the bike, those mental obstacles won't be as peaky, and we can have a little bit smoother day. But second podium in our fourth ride on the bike? We can't complain at all." MYOWNRACE
