one point I actually passed him
[Tomac] and then he got me back.
I got close enough to a window
where I thought I could make
something happen but then he
started doing that whoop line and
I should've picked up on it but
didn't. I made some mistakes in
them doing my jump line."
Justin Barcia grabbed third in

um of the year. The TLD/GasGas
rider,
who also celebrated his
31st birthday on Saturday, man-
aged to make several passes
while
the track deteriorated
throughout the main event.

"It felt good, I haven't won a
heat race all year," Webb said.
"It was one of those things to
maybe throw him [Sexton] out of
whack and lose focus and looks
like it worked."
Webb got close to Tomac ear

ly in the main event but fought
with
the whoop section and
eventually lost touch with the
number-one. Despite a late-race
effort, Webb settled for second
and will share the red plate at
Glendale in two weeks.
"I made a bunch of mistakes
there late, so I was bummed
He started seventh but came
through the likes of Roczen,
Adam Cianciarulo and Sexton
en route to the final step on the
box. Barcia is currently sixth in
points, but only four back from
Anderson and Roczen who are
tied for fourth overall.
"It's been about four weeks
now that we found a good set

ting on the bike," Barcia said.
"Come
main event time I know
I have the fitness to go the long
run and the speed is there. I
need to clean up my starts and
we'll be in a good spot, for sure."

to finish second
but now must
share the red
plate with Tomac.
