he is when the pressure is on,
qualifying outside the top five
but then starting the night with
a heat-race win. He even used
the classic finger gun move on
one to secure second place and
be in a perfect position behind
the Honda HRC of Sexton. As
has been the case too many
times this season, Sexton hit the
ground and handed off the lead.
From that point, it was smooth
sailing for Tomac.
"Right now, we're tied up so
it's a clean slate," Tomac said. "I

Stilez Robertson led the opening four
laps of the 250SX main event before
giving up the top spot to Jett Lawrence.
The Monster Energy Star Racing Ya-
maha rider stayed inside podium terri-
tory before crashing in the whoops, put-
ting him out of the race. "It was a pretty
eventful night here in Seattle," he said.
"I didn't feel like myself all day until the
main event. I started to find myself in
the beginning laps of the main, but just
a simple mistake turned into a pretty
good get-off. I'm glad to be okay."

8TH 250SX WEST
Carson Mumford finally made his
debut with the Monster Energy Pro
Circuit Kawasaki team. He qualified
fourth, nearly won his heat race and
finished eighth in the main event.
"Overall, it was a positive first race
for me with the Monster Energy/Pro
Circuit/Kawasaki team," he said. "I'm
happy with where my speed was and
how the bike handled on such a torn-
up track. In the main event, I ended
up riding pretty tight after midway,
which is not ideal, but is a bit to be
expected with all things considered.
I focused on continuing to hit my
marks and came through the check-
ered in eighth. The speed I had early
was definitely promising."
