He started off third and found
himself in the thick of it, battling
with HEP/Progressive Insurance
Suzuki's Ken Roczen early on.
The momentum shifted when
Tomac unlocked a fast line
through the whoops. He squared
up the left-hand turn and blitzed
down the left side of the whoops,

The win is
just what Tomac
needed to bolster his momen-
tum in the championship. He's
been
close to the front in the
past few rounds, aside from
Indianapolis, but has given up
points to Red Bull KTM rider
Webb the previous two races. In
Seattle, however, Tomac flipped
the script with his sixth win of
the season.
28 CHRISTIAN CRAIG
9TH 450SX
Rockstar Energy Husqvarna's Christian
Craig won his first 450SX heat race but
later finished ninth in the main event. "In
the main event I got off to a pretty good
start," Craig said. "But I got shuffled back
a little bit early, and during the second
lap, I went for a ride in the whoops and
ended up cross-rutting right at the end
and ejecting off. I was able to get up
quickly but was dead last by then. I
put my head down and got into the top
10 with a couple of laps to go. Then I
passed for ninth in the last corner."
43 LEVI KITCHEN
6TH 250SX WEST
After winning his heat race, local fa-
vorite Levi Kitchen finished sixth in the
250SX main. "The beginning of my day
was great and was the best I've had
so far," said Kitchen. "I qualified third,
which was good, and won the heat
race, which was a first for me. Then in
the main event, I had a really bad start,
but then I got going pretty good and
got up to fourth and started reeling in
those guys up front. Then I got what we
think was a rock stuck in my rear brake
for probably six or seven laps or so. It
was pretty obvious. I dropped like three
seconds a lap after that happened. It's
pretty frustrating with how good the day
was going before then."
