dream double win, he would be
disappointed, as veteran Stefano
Mesa made the most of his
one-off appearance on the MP13
Racing Yamaha YZF-R7 to win
race two. Mesa, who was riding
as a replacement for the injured
Kayla Yaakov and beat Rodio by
just 0.162 of a second. Third was
once again Blackmon.
In the championship stand

ings with one round down, Rodio
heads the table with 45 points
from Blackmon's 36 and Schultz
third on 27.

Blackmon, who only just got the
better of Hayden Schultz (Cycle
Tech Yamaha), and defending
champion Blake Davis in a typi-
cal Daytona dogfight.
But it was all turned for race
two. Rodio's Aprilia was spilling
fuel out of the top of the tank on
the warm-up lap, so he pulled
into the pits and had to wait as
the rest of the field cleared off
at the start.
He got back in the race in
dead last, but his fortunes would
turn when a red flag was called
due to a nasty highside crash
from Dominic Doyle (Team ISO
Yamaha) and he could thus
the Grey Area Racing KTM.
In the championship, O'Hara
leads on a perfect 50 points
from McWilliams on 36 and
Price on 24.
