and a couple of run-ins with
Justin Barcia essentially kept
the Honda HRC rider from chal-
lenging for the win. But it was an
eventful race for Sexton.
At one point, Sexton stalled
his bike resulting in Barcia run-
ning into him, with the GasGas
rider, Barcia, going down. Barcia
already had an encounter with
Sexton moments earlier, so he
wasn't happy with the second

leave myself open," said Sexton,
who crossed the finish line ap

the lead duo.
Webb quickly recovered and
kept the pressure on the new
leader, Tomac. Despite having
never finished off the podium
at Daytona, a win at this iconic
venue has eluded the Red Bull
KTM rider. He wanted to end
that tonight but it wasn't to be.
"I somehow hit neutral, and he
got by me, but I tucked right in
behind him," Webb said. "I was
hoping for a mistake. We were
going for it, and I think we both
left it all out there on the track,
that's for sure. Overall, I'm not
stoked for second, but I gave it
my best."
Just 1.791 separated Webb
from Tomac at the finish.
