but to go out and execute is a
different deal."
Webb made things interesting
as last week's winner continues
to build steam throughout the
season. After a slow start to Sat
-
urday night's main event, Webb
picked things up near the half-
way mark. Sexton's fall seemed
to light the fire in Webb as he
marched forward and passed for
second place late in the race. He
then capitalized on Tomac's last-
lap mistake and got the Yamaha
in his crosshairs. It was too little
too late for Webb, though, as
he settled for second, just 0.8
seconds back. He's now second
in the overall standings.
"I was right where I needed to
be to have a good result," Webb
said. "I feel like they [Tomac and
Sexton] were just riding that limit
a little harder than I was at the

WHOOPS
The whoops in Oakland were a
drastic change from last week.
In Tampa, they shortened the
whoop section, but in Oakland,
the riders faced a unique whoop
section that led to a Dragon Back,
followed by another whoop sec-
tion. This was arguably the most
challenging part of the track and
saw the most significant number
of mistakes.
ANDERSON PENALIZED
After a run-in with Justin Barcia
last weekend, Jason Anderson
has been placed on a six-month
probation and given a written
warning for "overly aggressive
riding."
MATT MOSS
Matt Moss filled-in for the BarX
Suzuki team in the 250SX class.
The Australian Supercross champ
came out swinging early in the
day with the sixth-fastest qualify-
ing time, and he took third in his
heat race behind Hampshire and
Max Vohland. Unfortunately for
him, the main did not go well, and
he had to pull out early. "Got an
okay start," he said. "I was sitting
in fourth when I landed awkwardly
on my thumb; I could barely hang
on. Disappointing, but I'm happy
with my speed." Moss will finish
out the Supercross season with
the team.
48
With his 48th-career Supercross
win, Eli Tomac ties Ricky Carmi-
chael for third on the all-time wins
list, and is just two wins behind
James Stewart. "It's special,"
Tomac said. "Anytime you can tie
RC on anything it's really good."
