RJ Hampshire finally took his first win of
the season during main one, but a big
crash put him out of main number two.
A 13th in the final race dropped him to
11th overall for the night and third in the
standings. "In the first main, I started out
good and got a holeshot and won," he
said. "Then the second main was chaos
from the beginning. I think it was about
the third or fourth lap, I just lost my hand
in the sand and I had a big one. Thanks to
Dr. G we were able to tape my shoulder up
and gave it all we had for that third main.
It's not ideal, but I think we're s ll in it.
It could have been much worse, and we
have a li le break now, so we'll be ready
for Oakland in a couple of weeks."

Things looked good at the start for TLD/
GasGas' Pierce Brown a er he finished
second in the first race. Crashes and
mistakes dropped him, as he went on
to log 2-13-8 finishes for eighth overall.
"Qualifying was good, and the first main
event was great," he said. "I just had some
bad luck in the second main event. I fell,
then collided with another rider and fell
again. It was on me. The night kind of
