Beta Announces Liqui Moly Beta Racing Team T he Liqui Moly Beta Racing team returns with six riders from the 2022 team and wel - comes one newcomer. The team will be outfitted with Pirelli Tires as they come on board as multi- year sponsors beginning in 2023. The West Coast team remains unchanged. Joe Wasson, who fin - ished second in the NHHA points, returns and will continue riding a Factory 480 RR in the National Hare & Hound and the West Hare Scrambles series. Also return - ing to the team is Zane Roberts, who rides the Factory 480 RR in the National Hare & Hound and the West Hare Scrambles. Back for his second year as a factory rider for Beta USA is Dare DeMar - tile. DeMartile competes in the WORCS and NGPC series. The East Coast team returns three riders to the factory team. Jonathan Johnson competes in the XC2 class at the GNCC aboard a Factory 250 RR. John - son will also look to continue his success in the NE Pro2 class at the National Enduro Series. Again joining Johnson on the team is Evan Smith, who also competes in the GNCC XC2 class on the Factory 250 RR. Smith will also race National Enduro in the NE Pro1 class. Rounding out the team's GNCC riders is Jason Lip - scomb. Lipscomb will compete in the XC3 class on a Factory 125 RR. The team's newcomer is Danny Lewis. He will compete in the U.S. Hard Enduro Series, as well as the EnduroCross Championship on a Factory 300 RR. CN VOLUME ISSUE JANUARY , P29 The Liqui Moly Beta Racing off-road team is made up of six returning racers and one new addition. Forkner Out For Supercross Season T he Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki Team confirmed that Austin Forkner will sit out the rest of the 2023 Supercross season. Forkner suffered a knee injury just a few feet off the gate at the start of the 250SX West main event at Anaheim 1, January 7. Forkner tangled with a couple of other riders and went down in a violent crash. Forkner reported on his Instagram account that his right knee suffered several injuries, but the worst was a torn ACL. He also broke a bone in his hand. This marks the third season in a row that Forkner has been knocked out of the Super - cross series due to injury. You can view Forkner's video on Instagram where he describes the crash and injury. CN A knee injury will force Austin Forkner to miss the rest of the 2023 Supercross series—again.
