hat a way to kick off the 2023 Monster Energy
AMA Supercross Championship. The series
opener is always uncertain and often receives
speculation of the "best season ever" or "deepest field yet."
But this year's A1 actually lived up to the hype.
Recent rains in Southern California soaked the track during
the week and created an uncharacteristically soft, rutted and
technical racing surface that resulted in a very exciting night of
racing. A few racers even called the track the gnarliest they've
