en's Enduro X rider Louise Forsley was excited to put her RPM
Racing KTM back on the track,
but was devastated to end her
day in the emergency room with
a broken collarbone. During the
first practice session, Forsley attempted to double into a rhythm
section and came up short,
sending herself over the bars.
BLAZUSIAK ON THE WIN
"It's been a crazy season so
far," said Blazusiak, who has had
an up and down year. The Polish
rider managed to clinch the 2012
AMA EnduroCross Championship
despite dealing with an injured
shoulder and thought he would be
back for 2013 with a clean bill of
health. But several other hindrances have kept him from dominating
in his typical fashion.
"I was hurt at the end of last
year going into the last round of the
championship, so hurting my other
shoulder was even worse. I started
to regroup and gain confidence on
the bike and then I crashed again
in Barcelona and hurt my wrist. It's
just been one of those years that
doesn't click at first. But at the end
of the day, winning three medals
out of the four Global X Games is
amazing, and winning here in LA
for the last time X Games is here in
LA is a dream come true. I'm super
pumped for my sponsors and
"I can't believe this happened
at my first race back," Forsley
said. "I was feeling really good
and confident and just miscalculated a jump in practice. I'm so
myself and my team. We worked
so hard the last couple months and
it's great.
"The track here was fun to
ride," Blazusiak added. "It was all
about the gate and all about the
start. It was hard to pass but still
I enjoyed it. Maybe a few more
EnduroCrossy elements to it
would be great because then you
could make a difference, but…
you know, I won so I shouldn't be
complaining!" [laughs]
