pair of surgeries.
"I knew tonight was like a
game of chess between me and
Trystan," said Walker. "I knew
that going in, so I just thought I'll
stick with the not trying to push
and make a mistake and maybe
lose time.
"Winning the title is amazing. It
was a struggle, obviously, since
I had two surgeries this year and
not too much time on the bike.
Back home you watch a lot on
the TV of the motocross and su-
percross and you always dream
of winning an AMA Champion-
ship, so to actually get it done
and get one, it's amazing."
In the Women's Pro class,
FXR/KTM's Shelby Turner
claimed her fifth win of the sea-
Haaker's 2-4-5 was good
enough to land the defending
and five-time AMA EnduroCross
Champion into fourth overall,
while Abbott rounded out the top
five with a 7-5-6 score.
"It was another learning ex-
perience tonight, just not what
I wanted," Haaker said. "The
pieces are there; I just have to
put it all together and come back
stronger next year. It's just more
motivation. You know, you win a
couple times in a row and then
and then you take a big loss, and
then you have the motivation to
get back up there."
Walker was obviously excited
to win the championship, espe-
cially after missing the Hard En-
duro World Championship with a
(L-R) Hart, Walker
and Webb finished
out the season on
the Reno podium.
