Trystan came in really hard on me
and made a really good pass. He
was riding aggressive."
Going into the third and final
moto, Hart needed to win and get
some help in order to take the over-
all win and walk away with the title.
He entered the final race with seven
points compared to Walker's five.
Webb grabbed the early lead
again followed by Apolle and Hart,
with Walker biding his time in fifth
behind Haaker. Needing a win,
Hart quickly made his way around
Webb and into first. However,
Walker, needing nothing more than
to finish one spot behind Hart, was
able to move into the runner-up slot
on lap three and from there rode a
comfortable race to the finish.
"Moto one is really where I threw
the championship away tonight with
that sixth," said Hart. "It was close
in that last moto. There were a
bunch of guys behind Johnny, and
I kind of checked out. But it's okay.
It's all good. You live and learn. This
isn't the way I envisioned tonight
going. That sixth in moto one really
hurt. I had two moto wins to back
that up, but it just wasn't good
enough to win the championship.
Walker had a lot of pressure, and
he rode really good, so congrats
to him. I finished just three points
behind him in the title chase. We'll
use this years' experience to come
back stronger next year."
Webb's overall win was his first
of the season. "Finally, I got one,"
said Webb. "I'm really happy about
that. This has been a really tough
year, so to be able to get this win
to cap it off is great."
