Dunlop has added two new tires—the Q5 and Q5S—
for its fifth generation of the Dunlop Sportmax
family. The Q5 is a purpose-built, track-day
tire while the Sportmax Q5S is Dunlop's new
flagship hypersport street tire. Both are street
legal and have improvements to construction,
profiles, compounds and tread patterns, with the
Q5S version favoring extra grip in dry and wet
conditions. Warm-up times have been improved,
and Dunlop says that tire warmers are not
necessary for track use.
