grabbing the holeshot and then
leading Webb every lap until half-
way into the seventh and final lap
when Webb became impatient
and forced his way into the lead
with an aggressive move through
the rock garden.
"That was wild," said Webb.
"It was good for me, but mostly
just good for the crowd. I was just
hanging in there the whole time,
and then I had a really big bobble
in the rocks. I was just trying to
breathe through the fast stuff, and
I feel like he gained on me. I kept
making mistakes in the rocks.
Then on the white flag I was like,
I have to hit my marks. There was
an inside rut, and I don't think I

(GasGas) took over the point
midway into the lap. On lap two,
Webb grabbed the lead away
from Gerston and was followed by
Hart, Walker, Beta's Tim Apolle,
Haaker and Blazusiak, putting all
the major players at the front.
Hart, who was dogged by
Walker the whole way, ramped
up an impressive flurry on lap
three, which saw him pass Apolle
and eventually Webb to move
into first. A few turns later he was
followed by Walker, who passed
Webb as well, and at the finish
it was Hart, Walker and Webb,
followed by Haaker and Factory-
ONE Sherco's Cooper Abbott.
"I got the lead, and I was not
comfortable," said Webb. "I
