grabbing the holeshot and then leading Webb every lap until half- way into the seventh and final lap when Webb became impatient and forced his way into the lead with an aggressive move through the rock garden. "That was wild," said Webb. "It was good for me, but mostly just good for the crowd. I was just hanging in there the whole time, and then I had a really big bobble in the rocks. I was just trying to breathe through the fast stuff, and I feel like he gained on me. I kept making mistakes in the rocks. Then on the white flag I was like, I have to hit my marks. There was an inside rut, and I don't think I used my brakes there. I just hit it. I hit a pivot turn and after the turn, you needed a good run at the rocks, and I just took away that line he needed, and he had nowhere to go. Anyone would have done the same thing." Hart pushed hard early in the race to work his way into position to challenge Webb and Haaker but made a mistake in the rock section midway into the race and dropped back to fourth behind Walker, who had worked his way up from a mid-pack start. Moto two, which saw the start orders reversed from the finishing order of moto one, saw privateer Spencer Wilton with the early lead, holding it until Max Gerston (GasGas) took over the point midway into the lap. On lap two, Webb grabbed the lead away from Gerston and was followed by Hart, Walker, Beta's Tim Apolle, Haaker and Blazusiak, putting all the major players at the front. Hart, who was dogged by Walker the whole way, ramped up an impressive flurry on lap three, which saw him pass Apolle and eventually Webb to move into first. A few turns later he was followed by Walker, who passed Webb as well, and at the finish it was Hart, Walker and Webb, followed by Haaker and Factory- ONE Sherco's Cooper Abbott. "I got the lead, and I was not comfortable," said Webb.
