MV Agusta And KTM Officially Join Forces K TM and MV Agusta have officially tied the knot after the formalities of KTM's 25.1 percent stake in the company were conducted in a sharehold- er meeting on November 15. The move, which was first made public in Sep- tember, will see KTM take over the North American MV Agusta subsidiary in a separate U.S.-based legal entity and promote the dealer network and after- sales service, as well as press and media duties. However, details still need to be made public regard- ing KTM's plans for MV Agusta on a global scale. "I am excited about this important agreement, and delighted to welcome KTM AG, Europe's leading powered two-wheeler manufacturer, into the MV Agusta family," said Timur Sardarov, CEO of MV Agusta Motor S.p.A. "Driven by our shared vision of excellence, the principal goals of our alliance will be the consolidation of our core business and the production of high- performance motorcycles in the premium segment. I am confident that the agreement will strengthen our brand in a complex and challeng- ing marketplace." FIM North America Board Appoints, Elects Members F IM North America, the continental union of the Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme that represents North America, has elected a new slate of board members representing member federa- tions at a November 16 meeting. AMA President and CEO Rob Dingman was re- elected to a four-year term as FIM North America president. Holly Ralph, CEO of the Canadian Mo- torcycle Federation, was re-elected FIM NA Deputy President. AMA Chief Operating Officer James Holter was elected FIM NA Treasurer. Additional board members appointed to four-year terms by their respective member federations were CMA Honorary President John Pineo and AMA Director of Racing Mike Pelletier. The positions are in effect November 2022 through November 2026. AMA Director of International Com- petition Bill Cum- bow was reappoint- ed to the position of FIM NA Secretary General. This non- voting position is effective November 2022 through November 2024. The position of FIM NA President comes with a seat on the FIM board, where Dingman currently holds multiple leadership positions with the FIM, including serving as chairman of the finance committee of the FIM Board of Directors, the elected representative to the FIM Board for all FIM Continental Unions and as a member of the board executive committee.
