D
ucati's highly popular Scrambler
enters its newest generation with
three models: Icon, Full Throttle
and Nightshift. They offer different
styles but are united by a relaxed riding
position and a low weight.
The new-gen Scrambler is complete-
ly redesigned but, according to Ducati,
maintains a fun and easy-to-ride per-
sonality. The headlight is now complete-
ly LED, while the fuel tank offers an
interchangeable cover. A 4.3-inch color
TFT display adds touches of modernity
to the cockpit, too.
A new frame with a completely
removable subframe is 8.8 pounds
lighter. A redesigned swingarm, repo-
sitioned shock absorbers, and engine
updates contribute to the overall weight
reduction. The 18- and 17-inch wheels
are also completely redesigned.
The engine is 5.5 pounds lighter
and features a more compact clutch.
The air-cooled two-valve twin-cylinder
engine has a maximum power output of
73 horsepower. A new eight-disc clutch
design allows it to be easier to operate
while also reducing mass in the engine.
A Ride By Wire throttle has been added
as well as Ducati Traction Control, ABS,
and two riding modes (Road and Wet).
A quickshifter is another accessory for
the Scrambler.
The Icon version represents the
Ducati Scrambler's excellence, says
Ducati. It features a new tank design
