Friese ended up third in the
championship.
Shane McElrath (Rick Ware
Racing) won the SX2 title after
taking the win in Australia over
Max Anstie (Genuine Honda) and
Aaron Tanti (Craig Dack Racing).
McElrath came into the race
with a one-point lead over Chris
Blose, with Mitch Oldenburg
another point back.
"A win is a win, it's never easy,"
McElrath said. "These guys
made it tough."
Marvel Stadium also held the
opening round of the AUS-X
Championship on Friday night,
October 21. In the SX1 class, Bray-
ton took the win over Tanti and
Dean Wilson (Genuine Honda).
In the SX2 class, Anstie came
away with the win over Cole
Thompson (Serco Yamaha) and
Nathan Crawford (KTM).
