lex Rins gave Suzuki something to get excited about
before signing off in MotoGP at the end of the season
by taking a thrilling victory at the Phillip Island Australian
Grand Prix. The Spaniard pulled through at the very end, lead-
ing a freight train of riders across the finish line in quick succes-
sion, edging out Mark Marquez by 0.186 for the popular win.
For Marquez, it was his 100th career podium in MotoGP.
"It's great to achieve this milestone of 100 premier-class
podiums and an honor to draw equal with Nieto, but we are
not done yet!" Marquez said.
Suzuki's Alex Rins
made a last-lap pass
and held on to take
the win at Phillip
Island. Less than
