MW Motorrad unveiled the naked version
of its M 1000 RR superbike for 2023.
The M 1000 R uses much of the superbike
as its base but strips it all down to the bare es-
sentials to go against Ducati's Streetfighter V4 SP,
KTM's 1290 Super Duke R, Aprilia's Tuono V4 Fac-
tory and Triumph's venerable Speed Triple 1200.
Weighing in at a claimed 438 pounds wet with
205 horsepower on tap, the M 1000 R will retail
for $21,345 and be available in January 2023.
A year after its release, the BMW M 1000
RR will be getting a nip and tuck for the
2023 model year in the form of a new,
higher downforce fairing, new carbon
winglets, wheel covers, graphics and
a new BMW M Endurance seat.
The motor remains largely
unchanged in the 205 horsepow-
er/83 lb-ft ShiftCam unit that runs
titanium valves and twin-ring forged
pistons and titanium Pankl conrods.
The M 1000 RR will go on sale
for $32,995 and hit dealer floors by
January of 2023.
