SUPERSPORT
Rocco Landers (Landers Rac-
ing Yamaha) and Josh Herrin
(Warhorse HSBK Racing Ducati
NYC) were the star Supersport
performers at Barber. Landers
was electric in race one, hunt-
ing down a wounded Herrin who
was struggling with the soft tire
choice as the grip level slowly
deteriorated.
The Washington youngster
out-dragged Herrin to the line in
race one to win by 0.3 seconds
with Stefano Mesa third, 0.4
seconds back.
Race two saw rain showers
coat the track before the start,
with the field split between run-
ning wet tires and full dry slicks.
In the end, Herrin ran wets
and could keep the pace long
enough to win by a massive 18
seconds from Australian rookie
Luke Power (3d Motorsports
LLC) who made his second trip
to the podium in 2022. Tyler
Scott (Vision Wheel M4 Ecstar
Suzuki) made it onto the podium
in third.
In the series, Herrin was
already crowned champion at the
previous round at New Jersey and
finished with 387 points to Land-
ers' 281, with Scott third at 229.
