Belgian Eddie Lejeune clinched the World Trials Championship in
Finland and was pictured on the cover 40 years ago... Jay Springsteen
ran away and hid at the San Jose Mile, while the race for the title
narrowed to just four points between Ricky Graham and Hank Scott
with one race left on the schedule... We tested the Suzuki GS650G
and Honda FT500 Ascot street bikes... Terry Cunningham won the
Rattlesnake 100 National Enduro in Iowa... We covered the DeAnza
Hillclimb which offered a $25,000 purse, the most ever for a hillclimb.
