Jeff Stanton made the cover 30 years ago for clinching his third
Supercross title in dramatic fashion. Damon Bradshaw led Stanton by six
points going into the final and was a shoo-in for the title, but after getting a
great start, Bradshaw uncharacteristically faded back to fifth, handing the
title to Stanton. "It wasn't anything physical, just mental," Bradshaw said.
He lost the title by three points... Rusty Rogers captured his first National
win at the Hagerstown Half-Mile...
