McElrath Filling In At Rockstar Energy Husqvarna S hane McElrath, who started the season with the now disbanded Rocky Mountain ATV- MC/WPS KTM Team, will start the 2022 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship with the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Team as a fill-in rider for the injured Dean Wilson. McElrath is slated for the first four rounds or until Wilson makes his return to racing this summer. "Words can't describe my excitement for a chance to ride the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna!" said McElrath. "I've been training hard and have been hoping to get an opportunity to race some outdoors, and I'm grateful that the team is giving me that opportunity. Outdoors is coming quick and I'm ready to get to work alongside this great group of people!" Nathan Ramsey, the team's manager, said, "In a tough situa- tion like this, I feel very fortunate to have an option like Shane to be able to turn to. I believe that Shane has tremendous talent and experience, and he will be a great asset to the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Rac- ing Team. I am very excited and confident with Shane to start our MX season." CN IN THE WIND P32 Savatgy Steps In For Cianciarulo J oey Savatgy will take Adam Cianciarulo's seat on the Monster Energy Kawasaki Team while Cianciarulo contin- ues to heal from a knee injury sustained in the Supercross Championship. Savatgy, who has also been sidelined with a knee injury, will pair up with Jason Anderson in the 450cc class in the upcoming Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Cham- pionship until Cianciarulo is ready to race again. Savatgy is no stranger to Kawasaki having ridden for the 250cc Pro Circuit squad for four years and the Monster Energy Kawasaki 450cc Team for one year. "I've had a lot of success with the team in the past and I'm eager to continue building on that in the coming months," said Savatgy. "We're only a few weeks shy of the season opener so we will aim to progress as the season goes on, but I'm confident my familiarity with the bike and the team will help speed that process along. I'm optimistic about what we can achieve together this summer." CN Joey Savatgy has been reunited with his old Monster Energy Kawasaki as he fills in for the injured Adam Cianciarulo. Shane McElrath has found a home (at least temporarily) at the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Team as he fills in for the injured Dean Wilson at the outdoor MX Nationals.
