Erion, though, did confirm that he had been contacted by Ducati about the possibility of running the Italian V· twins in the '93 AMA Superbike. National Championship. "I got a call from Ducati," Erion said. "But that's not surprising: I think they're looking for a second team for the AMA series. We've got an offer from Horida to do WERA, arid I've made a counter-offer. We're waiting for an answer. We don't want to leave the AMA series because we feel it is superior to WERA. I don't know what we'll do at this point, but we will be racing. We have a vested interest in it. At the very minimum, we'll have Rick Kirk on a 600 (Honda CBR6oo) in Supersport and we'll run a CBR900 in endurance. We won't run superbike unless something comes up." I think I have one more season left in me." Themosl i a s -n k 0'11 everread. kHON'DA If OwNeR'. MA~ ~---- What should you look for .when you check your motorcycle's brake system? Information like that can save your life. And the best place to find it is in your owner's manual. Responsible riders also wear a helmet, eye protection and pro·tective clothing, and have a proper motorcycle license. And, of course, nobody should ever ride under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Read your owner's manual before you ride. Because when exam time comes, the safest riders are the ones who have done their homework first. cf'HONDA Cmne ride with us. ©1991 American Honda Motor
